28 February – Knysna Celtic Festival – Knysna
The gathering shall comprise a street march contest, band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland dancing competitions. For further information, please contact Steve Collins.

7 March – Sandy Mallen Memorial Solo Piping Contest (Includes an Amateur Competition) – Johannesburg

14 March – The Dunsmore Challenge – KwaZulu Natal
A solo piping competition, with a difference, hosted by the KwaZulu Natal Piping and Drumming Society at the Umvoti Mounted Rifles Headquarters in Pine Street, Pinetown. For further information, please contact Ken Mustard.

28 March – 100 Guineas Solo Piping Contest – Johannesburg

18 April – Lyttelton Manor Gathering – Pretoria
The gathering will take place at Lyttelton Manor High School and shall comprise band competitions and highland dancing. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award. For further information, please contact William Anderson.

2 & 3 May – South Coast Highland Gathering – Amanzimtoti, Kwazulu Natal
The gathering will take place at Hutcheson Park and shall comprise band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland dancing competitions. This is a PBASA Championship gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Champion of Champions Award. 16 & 17 May – The Jeppe Gathering – Johannesburg
The gathering will take place at Jeppe High School for Boys in Kensington, and shall comprise band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland dancing competitions. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award. 23 May – The Stevens Challenge – KwaZulu Natal

30 May – De La Salle Gathering – Johannesburg

20 & 21 June – Cornwall Hill College Gathering – Pretoria
The gathering will take place at Cornwall Hill College, Nellmapius Drive, Irene and shall comprise band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland dancing competitions. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award. 27 June – Natal Scottish Gathering – Durban
The gathering will take place at the Natal Mounted Rifles Headquarters, Masabalala Yengwa Avenue, Durban and shall comprise mini-band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland dancing competitions. For further information, please contact Ken Mustard.

11 July – St Benedict’s Gathering – Johannesburg
The gathering will take place at St Benedict’s College and shall comprise band competitions and Highland dancing. This is the PBASA Regional Final and the PBASA Regional Champion Awards are announced at the conclusion of this gathering. Also included in this day are the All Africa Highland Dancing championships. 25 July – Benoni Gathering (South African Championships) – Benoni
The gathering will take place at Benoni High School and shall comprise band competitions and Highland dancing. The winners of the day are declared the South African Champions. This is also the PBASA Championship Final and the PBASA Champion of Champions Awards are announced at the conclusion of this gathering. For further information, please contact Hilary Webber.

8 August – Vaal Highland Festival – Vereeniging
